Full Description:
Dallas County Health and Human Services provides short-term emergency financial assistance to eligible Dallas County residents. DCHHS’ program functions as a safety net for indigent residents. The county’s welfare program is temporary and serves to assist residents until they are able to return to work or until they are able to gain assistance from other resources.
As part of the services offered through the welfare program, DCHHS assists residents with
- rent
- room and board
- utilities
- transportation
- food
Eligibility
Dallas County residents who receive welfare services are disabled or their primary caretaker is disabled.
Applicants must provide original utility bills and the resident’s current lease.
