Full Description:

Helping Hands Emergency Assistance Ministry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit ministry that has been serving those in need in the greater High Point area since 1995. We are a partner agency of Second Harvest Food Bank in Northwest N.C. and a member of the Community Resource Network in High Point. Helping Hands is supported entirely by individuals, churches, businesses, foundations and civic organizations.

Financial assistance hours:

Monday - Friday, 10 AM - 2 PM

 

No person or family should have to go without food.  If you find yourself or someone you know who needs assistance in placing food on the table at home, we are here to help you.


Food Assistance by Appointment Only
Steps to getting assistance:

1. Call to make an appointment at (336) 886-2327 Ext. 1
2. If this is the first time that you have been to Helping Hands, please bring a photo ID and        proof of residency such as a bill with your name and address on it.
3. Then come on the day of your appointment.

Tuesday: 11 am - 1 pm
Wednesday: 11 am - 1 pm
Thursday: 11 am - 1 pm & 6:00 pm -7:30 pm

It is a first come first serve basis when funds are available on
Mondays ONLY 10 am - 12 pm? (No appointment required).

Tips For Prompt And Professional Assistance
1. Make an appointment - Always attempt to make an appointment. Oftentimes this will save you hours waiting in lines. When on the phone make sure you ask for the documentation needed in order to receive assistance.

2. Do not be late for your appointment - This tip should speak for itself.

3. Dress appropriately - If you want to be treated with respect, dress as appropriately as possible. We are not saying wear a suit. Just make sure you and your clothes are clean and non offensive. We have found that clients who dress in this manner have a better chance of receiving aid.

4. Bring all pre determined documentation - Bring all of the documents you were advised to bring from your appointment phone call. Without them, you will not receive aid.
