The Rockland County Department of Social Services provides a variety of federal and state cash assistance programs including but not limited to temporary assistance and employment. Evaluates and processes families and individuals who demonstrate the need for financial assistance. Regularly redetermines eligibility and makes case adjustments reflecting changes in the circumstances of the household.

Tips For Prompt And Professional Assistance
1. Make an appointment - Always attempt to make an appointment. Oftentimes this will save you hours waiting in lines. When on the phone make sure you ask for the documentation needed in order to receive assistance.
