Full Description:

The Ark and Noah’s Closet are open Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Please contact us during business hours. We are closed all bank holidays.

We provide a food pantry and Utility Assistance.

Pantry:

Anyone who lives in south Cheatham County can receive food from The Ark Community Food Pantry. Food pantry is open on Tuesday from 5-6, except for 5th Tuesdays. We rely on your generous donations of food.

Emergency Utility Assistance is provided as funds allow to residents of south Cheatham County who have lived in their home for at least six months. Please contact The Ark, or apply during food pantry hours.

NEED HELP?
First we will need to get some basic household information.
    Photo ID for each adult
    SS card or birth certificate for each minor
    Proof of residency: mortgage statement or lease agreement
Volunteers or staff will meet with you to hear your story and see how we can help. In some cases you may be referred to another agency that can help. Our primary ongoing programs are food pantry, utility assistance, clothing assistance, and meals on wheels.

Tips For Prompt And Professional Assistance
1. Make an appointment - Always attempt to make an appointment. Oftentimes this will save you hours waiting in lines. When on the phone make sure you ask for the documentation needed in order to receive assistance.

2. Do not be late for your appointment - This tip should speak for itself.

3. Dress appropriately - If you want to be treated with respect, dress as appropriately as possible. We are not saying wear a suit. Just make sure you and your clothes are clean and non offensive. We have found that clients who dress in this manner have a better chance of receiving aid.

4. Bring all pre determined documentation - Bring all of the documents you were advised to bring from your appointment phone call. Without them, you will not receive aid.
